New market launches and partnerships drove a 12% increase in operator turnover, which was highlighted by the supplier among its Q3 highlights.

Shape Games, a "front end specialist" that Kambi acquired, was also emphasised. In addition to terminating their relationship with operator Penn Entertainment, which had previously stated its intention to switch to its own proprietary platform, the provider has been in a partnership with Great Canadian Entertainment, which is owned by Apollo Global Management, since the third quarter.

In addition to a decreased year-on-year percentage drop (Q2 revenue fell 19% for Kambi), the organization's Q3 total of €34.7m was greater than Q2 revenue of €24.7m.

"The sports betting industry always faces its toughest quarter in the third due to the sports betting calendar being relatively quiet, and this year was no different," stated Kristian Nylén, CEO of Kambi.

Cost of living increases and increasing global economic instability were other prominent features of the quarter, and neither of these trends is likely to go away anytime soon.

"Despite this, Kambi proved its resilience once more and I am pleased to report another busy quarter for the business with operator turnover growth of 12%."

With a strong foothold in Latin America, sports betting provider Betsson had its "best quarter ever."
