BetFury and BurgerCities Form Crypto Partnership

A new play-to-earn game has been launched by BetFury in collaboration with BurgerCities.

Participating in what BetFury calls "an ecosystem of crypto products for entertainment and additional income and BurgerCities" gives players a chance to win branded NFTs, promo coupons, and bonuses in the new game.

In addition, at the end of the agreement, there will be a giveaway where 100 branded NFTs will be given out to winners. The winners will be picked using free spins and bets that the platform will automatically add to their balance.

MetaFi's BurgerCities features a decentralised exchange and NFTs, while BetFury's platform focuses on providing entertainment-themed bitcoin goods.

The duration of the arrangement is still up in the air.

Also, the UK Treasury recently said that bitcoin should be treated like gambling.

Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, according to a committee of MPs, are largely utilised by criminals for scams, fraud, and money laundering, and they do not have any inherent value or beneficial social function.

Ultimately, customers face a significant risk when investing in cryptocurrencies because of the inherent instability of the market.

"The events of 2022 have highlighted the risks posed to consumers by the crypto asset industry, large parts of which remain a wild west," commented Harriett Baldwin MP, Chair of the Treasury Committee, in response to the study.

"Effective regulation is clearly needed to protect consumers from harm, as well as to support productive innovation in the UK’s financial services industry."
